About Bernie

During the worst recession since The Great Depression of the 1930’s, Bernie came face-to-face with the fate that millions had experienced; on September 30, 2009 she was laid off.  Just NINE WEEKS later, on December 4, she received a job offer.  The day after that, another recruiter contacted her about a different job.  How did she do it?  By taking advantage of her “Recruiter’s Edge!”  As a recruiting expert, Bernie knows what it takes to grab and hold a recruiter’s attention, and the best ways to connect with a hiring manager.  By tapping into her own expertise, she was able to turn her lay off time into a great vacation!

So, who is Bernie?

Bernie Frazier is a Talent Acquisition executive with over 20 years of staffing and staffing leadership experience with both Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies across four industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Claims Management, Public Relations, and Healthcare.  In her tenure, she has had the good fortune to lead both national and global Talent Acquisition teams.

As the President of CareerVolution, LLC, a career coaching and job search skills training company, Bernie offers a comprehensive curriculum for people who are seeking their first or next career opportunity but aren’t sure how to make it happen.  She offers effective; “can do” insights that can help jump start a career, propel it to the next level, or catapult it in another direction.

Bernie is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute.  She also holds a Bachelors degree in Business from Drake University in Des Moines, IA.  In her spare time, she enjoys teaching job search training classes for Job Alliance of St. Louis, spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling, and eating good food!
